Accompanying programme
An extensive programme of lectures and panel discussions in German, a film series, tours with the curators and a whole series of other tours are offered within the framework of the exhibition "1914–1918. The First World War". With a specially developed multimedia guide Non-German-speaking visitors can visit the exhibition on their own.
English-language tours
Public tours offer a chronological and geographical view of the First World War in English. Starting from the political tensions and conflicts on the eve of the “primal disaster” of the 20th century, the tour focuses on a number of sites of important battles as well as political and cultural centres of Europe. Based on objects from Germany as well as numerous loans from abroad, the exhibition provides new approaches to issues surrounding the First World War.
