When West Berlin’s electric plant is ﬁnally rebuilt, the city lights up – on its own power for the ﬁrst time. The ﬁlm stresses the importance of US aid to maintain the city in its struggle against Communist domination. It includes a marvelous opening sequence with a “ﬁlm noir” feeling.
